This bill is a very tough call. There has to be a balance between security and freedom. I reluctantly support this bill because they have addressed some of the problems it had. I also like the idea that it has to be re-approved every four years. There is at least a chance it will eventually be done away with all together. The one thing that could be done to protect people’s freedom would be if there is information inadvertently gotten on an American and the information does not threaten American security then the information should be kept private even if the person is doing something illegal. As long as it does not directly concern the security of the US it should be kept strictly private and should not be passed on to a different agency to be “dealt with”. There should be harsh and strict laws added to protect the privacy of American Citizens, period.
