No, I don't think that the minimum wage should be increased to $13 an hour. I think that the minimum wage should, respectfully, stay the same as it is now- $7.25. I don't ink that minimum wage jobs are jobs that are intended for people to live off of, I think that they are for college kids and other people that need jobs to help them along before they can get a "real job". If you have a family, I would assume that you have intentions of supporting that family, and you should be able to get a job that supports you. Minimum wage jobs don't do that, and they're not intended to, so just because a handful of people need a wage increase doesn't mean we should potentially sacrifice other people's jobs. Wage increases would mean layoffs and a variety of other issues. To me, it seems easier to leave the minimum wage alone, and have more people get educated so they can get better jobs instead of trying to mess with a system that has worked for its intended use for a long time.
