While I do not advocate for violent people entering our country - as much as this can even be gleaned or avoided - legislation like this would have to be incredibly specific, lest it become yet another piece of policy geared toward racial bias. Perhaps they are coming to America to escape the gang culture. Perhaps they are labeled as part of the gang by proxy and are not even a gang member at all. And what does it even mean to be a "gang member"? Before voting on something like this, Congress should focus on our own gang situations - including but not limited to the WHITE gangs such as the KKK, which I am glad to see is beginning to gather policy support.
