The problem is that many of the college programs and resulting tuition is no longer based upon the fundamentals of advanced education. Too much is invested in "entertainment" to include college sports, infrastructure and activities created for students to enjoy themselves at the cost of advanced scientific, engineering, mathematic, technological and linguistic curriculum. Some college degrees offered at the cost of a high loan debt are a lose-lose proposition. Many graduates can never make adequate compensation to repay the extravagant loan. Do not get corporations involved in paying college debts unless it is schooling requested by the companies. If we were serious about national educational demands for the future, trade schools and community colleges should be getting additional federal funds, not large colleges/universities that permit large debt for some useless degrees.
