Protection of the 2nd Amendment has absolutely nothing to do with this. Your right to own a firearm is not in question. What is in question is whether you should automatically get access to a special protection afforded by a specific state law (Concealed Carry permission) across state lines. If you wish to have that privilege across state lines then you should apply for that privilege accordingly. Those who compare this to having a drivers license aren’t really acknowledging that all states (not just some) license drivers, and so... if ALL States supported concealment of weaponry for personal use, then maybe this wouldn’t be a problem. They do not and it is. To that end, using your out of state drivers license, If the speed limit is 60mph in your state and 50mph in a different state, should the state extend the freedom for you to travel 60mph? In that case the law is different, and the conditions required for permission to conceal a weapon in different states may be as well. Until all States universally accept your right to conceal a weapon, you should need to abide by whatever law exists in that state.
