Without strong environmental protections at the federal level, we have nothing. To any who think the EPA 'over reaches' its power and 'harms' business, I would ask you to consider the overwhelming scientific in favor of *protecting* the environment. Clean air reduces the amount of airborne, disease-causing pollution. Climate conscious policy helps ensure food security--this very issue contributed to the outbreak of civil war in Syria. Regulations used to keep our drinking water safe from chemical dumping. With the President and Congressional Republicans working harder than ever to destroy even out access to healthcare--never mind its *quality*--a strong EPA may be the only buffer between a dystopian disaster of a future and a shot at national security on multiple levels.
