I strongly encourage this. As a a teenager, I feel as if my voice is useless because we can't really step up into huge matters until we turn 18. It'd be great to allow us to vote in local city elections to give us an early start and taste on the political process. It would help us become informed and educated. With local elections these directly impact us and I would love to have the opportunity to have my voice heard (by voting). We are not immature as older generations perceive we are. We aren't given much voice in the community and that should change to allow teenagers to get a head start in the political process. Those would be helpful for not only myself but others! The current 2016 elections have given teens around the country the momentum to get politically active like myself, so what's to stop us from at least voting in city elections?
