Repealing this law incentivizes the for-profit billionaire insurance companies to run amok. My access to healthcare shouldn't be determined by a company that doesn't have my interests at heart and doesn't care one bit whether I'm insured. They're in the business of making money. The ACA isn't perfect by any means but it's a step in the right direction. Rather than repeal it, why doesn't Congress come up with a viable alternative? These insurance companies are losing money because our culture doesn't pride itself on being healthy, going to the doctor with more frequency and being insured. If everyone bought into the system, we'd all be better off. Instead, many Americans rely on the "tried and true" mantra of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and hoping you'll get better. It's a joke and a farce many people tout as some sort of triumph. These companies cannot run amok at the expense of our health. Repealing the ACA will do exactly that.
