While I would of course love to see better trade and smooth opportunities for US and UK citizens to work and live and interact and attend schools and such between our two great nations, I have to ultimately say that I cannot and will not support this motion because of the platform of isolationism, populism, exclusion, and divisiveness that it applauds and all but openly promotes. The US and Great Britain have had exceptional relationships int he past, and we ought always seek to continue that relationship, but not at the cost of fostering division and nationalism candy-coated to look like patriotism and "good global relations." As a self-proclaimed Anglophile looking for any reason to skip across the pond and back, I can't endorse this as a good idea. Brexit was a disaster and Trump is proving to be a disaster, himself. No.
