One big point that I would like to point out is the fact that you cannot drive until the age of 16. You cannot serve in the armed forces until the age of 18. In states like New Jersey you cannot purchase tobacco products until you are 19. And you cannot purchase alcohol until the age of 21. Lastly the human brain is not fully developed until the age of 25. Then why should minors be able to possess or use an assault rifle before they can drive or serve our country? The basic facts show that it is more dangerous to have a gun in the house than not to have a gun in the house. Overall, this law falls into the category of common sense, if we don't allow minors to buy tobacco products and alcohol which harms their own bodies, why would we let them have something that has the potential to harms other?
