Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for simplifying the tax code and lower taxes, but this should be something done with care and bipartisan backing. Otherwise we run the risk of critical government services loosing funding. Our government isn’t known for reacting quickly when things don’t pan out the way they thought it would. I also firmly believe we should be taking this opportunity to addressing the ever growing income gap. Selling this as something benefiting everyone due to a trickle down effect is being naive to the point of negligence. There should be provisions in it for the better rate to require no more than (as an example) 20:1 ratio of executives salary to the average employee salary. Rich can still get richer, but we should also be raising everyone else up with them. Forcing the trickle down effect. Checks and balances, written in law. My .02.
