Everyone should have "skin in the game". That way when government wants to increase taxes everyone will be involved and then everyone can feel the pain. In the parable that Jesus spoke of, the master gave talents (money) to each of his three servants in different measures. When the master came back and the only servant that did not multiply their talents was the one that had the smallest amount. He buried and them. The master then said to take his talent from him and give it to the one with more talents because he was responsible in his use of them. The moral of the story is to use to the best of your ability whatever God has given you. And, just because someone's poor does not justify them to be lazy nor expect to receive from others what they have not earned. Charity is the responsibility of the individual, not the government.
