You all mean to celebrate a “Totalitarian Day” or “Dictators Day” Each of those countries mentioned didn’t fail because of a fairly administered system of socialism or communism. They failed because of a corrupt few and a dictator who controlled the military and the treasury, which they raided regularly to increase their own personal wealth. Totalitarians are the problem. And we will also have a problem if we accept the actions of our current President as OK. His actions of breaking laws of every kind in this country, going against our allies of 70 years, aligning with cruel dictators around the world, and being Putin’s American Puppet cannot be seen in any other way than treasonous. He wastes our tax dollars, he has defrauded our agricultural industry and hardworking farmers and ranchers, he lines his own pockets by charging America as well as visiting dignitaries when they come to stay at his hotel properties, he isn’t paying his security detail bills from his rallies to multiple cities and guess who will end up paying for those? You and me! Defend Democracy! Our forefathers gave us a gift to build on and directed us to continue to create a more perfect union. Those who support Trump are guilty of killing the dream of a people’s democracy and are supporting the rise of another cruel dictator. Just look at how he treats human he considers his lessers, immigrants. He is treating them like they aren’t human. You could be next. This is what you want to celebrate, at least know why those systems truly failed. Otherwise, this celebration is pure propaganda!
And I am appalled that a Democrat is sponsoring this b.s. bill. Educate yourself more about Communism and Socialism, along with the many smaller varieties and version of these political systems. The thing all these systems have in common is the rise of a charasmatic leader who convinces the masses to follow him with grand promises, by the time they realize it was all lies this leader has taken over the military and then shows his true face, a cruel face to even their own people who naively followed and believed the promises of better lives and less taxes... once these men are in power it is very hard to take power back for the people. But it is really just one evil man and many naive hopeless followers who are willing to grab at here flowery promises. It isn’t the systems that fail, but the men at the top who fail their own people just to enrich themselves with money and power. The people following these men need to think for themselves and not believe that which is too good to be true. It usually is.
