I do not believe that this bill’s sponsor, who is known to take hundreds of thousands of dollars from major ISPs, has any right calling this bill anything close to “open internet”. The only way to an open internet is to repeal the action that the FCC took against the wishes of citizens representing both political parties across the country. Fast lanes should not be permitted. I pay my ISP to deliver the content I request, not deliver some content faster than other content based on who is paying them for faster speed. I only have two choices for wireline internet service, and both have already shown that they intend to change their practices to make more money for themselves, while I, a paying customer, find some sites slower than others through no doing of my own, while paying the same rates that I have, if not more. Do not support this bill. It is not the path to an “open internet”.
