Another attempt by the DEMS to demonize fossil fuels for their New Green Deal agenda. There is so much misdirection here. An average of 10% of methanol is in the fracking material but it degrades so rapidly that it is not normally a factor when evaluating waste contaminants. EPA scientist Dominic DiGiulio wrote an article in the Scientific American that proved slight ground water contamination in Wyoming. However, it was also determined that it was from unlined pits used for waste that allowed the leaching of chemicals into the ground water. I support NO new permits - but an outright ban is not justifiable. Further study will clarify the risks and the EPA should impose strict requirements for handling waste immediately.
