The inclusion of true African American history in the mainstream stream curriculum is the foundation to increase civility, respect between all ethnicities. This with the passage of HR 2639 will provide the resources necessary to reimagine our educational system. There was a study conducted by Pittsburg U that confirmed that African American are more likely to succeed if they are taught their true history before the genocide (slavery). The accomplishments of their ancestors will instill a sense of PRIDE, which motivates one to thrive for excellence. Reverse social engineering is required. In the 1960’s 41% of black families had their own businesses and 87% of black families were two parented. Today less than 7% of blacks own business and only 25% have two parents. The study should be directed at the cause and affect of this reality.
