We need to stop dancing around the real issue of easy access to guns that are designed to kill as many people as possible in a short period of time. Turning our schools into armed camps creates an environment that harms education. Moreover, additional funding to harden schools seems like a very inefficient use of tax dollars. Use that $20 million dollars to give teachers, most of whom are still receiving recession-era pay that hasn't been adjusted for inflation, raises and pass better gun laws instead. Australia and Britain don't have school shootings–it should be simple to model our laws after theirs!
