This bill is an attack on those who temporarily or permanently experience financial difficulties and also it is an attack on immigrants and refugees. This bill assumes that people suffering financial difficulties are trying to milk the system. That is an erroneous assumption. A large number of Americans that find themselves having financial difficulty are those that have experienced medical issues with overwhelming bills that they cannot pay. Others are those that have lost their jobs because of factories closing down and moving out of the country. Some people who need Federal housing and assistance have lifelong mental and physical issues that may never be resolved.People from all walks of life experience financial difficulties. Please vote “Nay” on this bill because when we shore up our lower income citizens we strengthen our economy and our country!
