As a working mom, I'd usually rather have paid time off. This bill allows employees to have the flexibility to choose time off or overtime pay, both of which could be beneficial at different times. I love that this bill is about giving employees that choice. That said, I do see how it might be used to exploit workers by insisting that they take the time instead of the money. I think that this bill, if passed, should have standards that protect workers' choices and allow them to cash out unused comp time.
