This is written by a Texas Republican, trust me, I live in Texas. If big oil companies want something, the conservatives here want it too. It's all about making regulations easier on the big guys and the citizens are the last thing the politicians here care about. As it is now, fracking is poisoning water and air, ruining our roads by the big trucks coming and going and Texas says we don't have the $$ to fix them. Gravel roads is the best they could offer. Please, I think if you take the minerals out of the land in Texas, why aren't the PEOPLE seeing any of that $$? They do it in Alaska, pre-Palin, we know she'd put a stop to that and funnel that money back to Big Oil. But she's a quitter and we don't need her. What i am saying is this. Don't be fooled like the folks commenting for a yes vote. It is deliberately written to sound like one thing but the fine print exposes the other. In today's political climate, with federal government republicans falling all over each other to appease the Koch brothers, they should. It and cannot be trusted with our environment. Trump has no idea what he is doing and science isn't taught much in the schools he went to. So please, for the sake of preventing early death of persons by big oil, oppose this!
