The ISP do not need any more information about their clients that they don't already have. Now granted that the apps and utilities we use ISPs for may or may not get more data than ISPs but that is still something we can ask to be removed or regulate ourselves. The main issue is how ISPs hold that information. The citizens of the USA use the internet for a multitude of tasks and quite often that hold/required very personal information. Such Social Security Numbers, Driver License Numbers, and Insurance numbers. All of which if stored on a big IPS server for data collection adds a gigantic security threat to all of the USA citizens including heads of government. If this act gets repealed IPSs need to be highly secure with the data the already have before they start collecting more. There needs to be multiple steps along with constant checking of their security for their data collection.
