I'm glad this passed the senate. To people like operaman and Matthew... you guys do realize you're basically arguing for "equal rights to discriminate" right? Even if BLM was a terrorist group (they're not) like the KKK, the argument against condemning the KKK and other white nationalist groups because it doesn't go "far enough" for you, is the equivalence of approval of the actions of those group. Basically, you're racist and saying "if my group can't then theirs can't either." The KKK and Nazis have a long and well documented history of terrorizing people. BLM is less than a decade old and even the worst example faux news can come up with doesn't even measure on the scale to the atrocities the KKK and Nazis have committed. I've yet to see a BLM rally wind up with white people being lynched or rounded up and put on trains headed towards a concentration camp. Antifa is a bunch of unorganized tools, that is largely a symptom in opposition to groups like the KKK. If you want Antifa to go way, support the efforts to silence and shutdown the KKK and Neo-nazis. Opposing this invalidates your argument altogether. It shows you condone the hate and actions of the groups. If not, you would use a stronger argument and say "I support this but want to expanded the list of groups." But you guys are more concerned with an "equal opportunity to hate" over calling out these longstanding, proven to be terrorist groups for what they are and possibly shutting them down.
