Ten percent is not enough. There should be a hiring freeze for all departments. As federal government employees retire, leave or exit for any other reason, they should not be replaced. The size of the federal government has become so bloated and burdensome for the American taxpayer that its size could be reduced by more than half, and they would not be missed. Many mis-guided agencies with overlapping duties should be eliminated in their entirety. The budget savings would be in the billions of dollars. Waste and mismanagement is rampant throughout the federal government. All cabinet level departments which are not provided for in our original Constitution should be the first to be considered for elimination, I.e. IRS, DEA, DHS, EPA, BATF and Education for starters. The federal judiciary and Department of Injustice has grown too large, and no longer provides equal protection under the law for all citizens. Their failure to prosecute Hillary Clinton for conducting official government business with her own private email server, or IRS officials for targeting and harassing political opponents of the administration are examples of the politicalization within government departments. A message that this will not be tolerated by the American people should be by reducing and/or eliminating their funding by Congress.
