Whether you like the products or not, this is an issue of personal liberty. Millions of adults have used these products to quit smoking cigarettes, upwards of 90% relying on flavors other than traditional tobacco to remain smoke-free. These products succeed where traditional methods fail precisely because the user is in control. For many, myself included, tobacco and menthol tastes are just a gateway back to cigarettes, the far cheaper, convenient, and deadly option. The issue of youth abusing products not intended for them is nothing new. Bans or overly constrictive regulation will not fix that, only spawn an immense black market that's impossible to control and make these products even more accessible to underage users and dangerous for everyone. I certainly don't want a repeat of the Prohibition of the 20's or the failed decades-long "War on Drugs." Do you?
