It is tough for me to find a moral reasoning that I agree with that advocates pro-choice, yet there are circumstances in life that occur where it is almost heinous to not allow someone to have an abortion. However I also beleive that using the arugument that you don't want to pay for abortions with your tax money is stupid. If you would be paying anything towards planned parenthood or a similar association it would be predominantly for basic womens healthcare and other services, very rarely an abortion. Me, for example, and many others find moral qualms with other government expenses, like the continued spending on military equipment. One F-18 is $98.3 million and the average cost of an abortion surgery in 2009 was $480 or so. One military jet is worth over 200,000 abortions and those are death machines that I have been helping purchase my whole life. You come to the point where you understand that those expenses probably help people and you get over it. Women's healthcare is necessary in our society and cannot be allowed to be an unlucky casualty of banning abortions. Let people who want to get abortions have the option to get them themselves and allow govt funding for the cases of rape or threats to the mother, it's worth every penny if you want to get detailed about other things the govt spends money on.
