For starters- in this country we have a separation of church and state. Is it not illegal to legislate that Christmas be celebrated, especially over any other holiday? Next, there is no “war on Christmas” being aware of and acknowledging other traditions does not constitute a “war” on Christmas. If you celebrate Christmas and enjoy Christmas then no one who celebrates a different holiday can have any impact on your Christmas celebration whatsoever. Only one who is astoundingly insecure in their faith would find someone who celebrates Hanukkah, for example, a threat. The argument that wishing one “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” hurts Christmas is as absurd as the idea that if someone at your table at the restaurant orders vanilla when you prefer chocolate is “war” on chocolate.
