Kids should start financial literacy at home by dealing with earring an allowance. It can be worked into basic math classes and expounded upon in the upper levels. Not all kids get an allowance, so doing basics in school will start the lifelong process. Kids need to know that they will not be “handed” everything and are not “entitled “ to living off their parents or the government. Learn they need to work for what they want, save money in case they have an emergency, and whether they need to go to college or a trade school, and how to pay for that.
