They should have the same requirements as the population. They should have to sit for an interview and go over their attendance and voting record, their amount of meetings with constituents, their availability and their responsiveness. And, after the prior year review they should have to, concisely and clearly, discuss detailed plans and policies for the coming year like many in corporate America so every year in the form of business plans.
Congressional pay, insurance, benefits and perks are better than what many Senior/Executive level private corporation positions offer to the employees.
It is time that legislators get in touch with the everyday citizen and experience the same situations and trials that we all see daily.
