ISPs already have far too much leverage when it comes to politics and are pushing for completely uninnovative, petty ways of increasing profits. Violating what should be the basic right to privacy is there target in this repeal. The basic neutrality of the web is there other target. Both measures exploit the users with less leverage to inflate profits on the current product rather than innovate or modify the quality of anything. This is one of many lazy, unethical attempts for these large ISPs to suck more money out of current customers that typically lack any real choice to switch products.
