This could be a good thing if it moves in the right direction--funding metal detectors and strengthening school entrances and classroom doors with bullet-proof glass, sturdy locking mechanisms, providing each class room with the disaster proof, bullet rooms. BUT NOT ARMING TEACHERS--THAT IS FOLLY IN THE FIRST DEGREE! AND AS A PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHER FOR OVER 20 YEARS, I CAN GUARENTEE THAT--TEACHERS HAVE ENOUGH STRESS AND BURN OUT ALREADY, NOT TO MENTION ENOUGH RESPONSIBILITIES! THE DAY AFTER TRUMP CAME OUT WITH THIS STUPID SUGGESTION THAT EVERY TEACHERS' UNION HAS REJECTED, A SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER AT DALTON SENT HIS STUDENTS INTO THE HALL, AND SHOT UP HIS CLASSROOM CEILING!!
