Sorry, folks, but we need to be paying something that is closer to the true cost of energy. I support these measures. It’s the only way to make us change our behavior and control the global thermostat. Hopefully the programs that help low income folks pay their energy and food bills will remain robust and in place. But we could all learn to sweat a little/layer up, carpool, buy seasonal and local produce, not let our cars idle while we go into a store, etc. Saving ourselves will require sacrifices from everyone. It’ll be worth it though.
