The vetting process is already quite thorough. Of course national security is a necessity, however why is it that a destitute Muslim or individual of Arabian descent doing what he or she can to avoid war, famine, death should be penalized just for doing so. We are a nation that 'prides' itself on freedom, liberty, and equality(?), therefore these people who are desperately searching for a better life through employment and safety in the United States of America should be welcomed and sympathized with. No American knows what they are going through and already have experienced, feeding islamaphobia and nativism, turning away from the humanitarian path our nation should take is shameful and immoral, let alone a slippery slope.
