A very dear friend of mine is a vet who suffers from PTSD. He trained his dog to be his own personal service dog to help with his episodes and his improvement since has been astronomical. He rarely suffers from episodes now and when he does he has a four-legged friend to support and ease him out of it. If all vets who suffer from PTSD had a support dog, I truly believe we would start to see a decline in not only the diagnoses but in the severity of the disorder. As your constituent, I urge you to support this bill/grant, if not for our service men and women, than perhaps just because it makes sense.
