Breastfeeding mothers have the right to nurse their babies anywhere they are allowed to be, and should never have to nurse in a bathroom. For those who prefer privacy, having private designated rooms to use as they choose is appreciated, and in federal buildings seems reasonable enough to accomplish. However, requiring private businesses to do so by federal law is likely to be detrimental to normalizing the nursing of babies and could lead to further discrimination and conflict. Publicly support breastfeeding mothers and de-stigmatize feeding babies. The Pope did.
