To all those arguing that protecting the environment is a "state issue" I urge you to apply some common sense. Logistically, that can't work, states do not have independent environments? State lines are arbitrary when it comes to environmental impact. The Mississippi River flows through ten states, if each state sets their own rules on what is allowed to be dumped, are the states downstream out of luck? Cmon, this is the environment people, it's not that complicated. This bill is appalling and should be rejected vehemently.
