This creates a small unelected committee, effectively increasing government size, to cut regulations based on an arbitrary monetary cost, while spending money to do so. That's paradoxical in its own right. Additionally, no context is provided to how regulations will be vetted, short of whether or not it costs more than $100m. Furthermore, this bill is economically myopic. It only concerns money. There's a lot more to the country, our concerns, our responsibilities, and our quality of life than money. I want clean air, clean water, a functioning ecology of diverse ecosystems, knowledge of our cultural heritage, ethical research and design, cutting edge technology and innovation. This bill does not provide any of that. This bill will cost jobs, remove sensible protections, and remove liability of corporations. Those regulations are protections for the people.
