My Aunt made the wisest statement I have ever heard about the differences between two sides in issues like this.... If we had no one screaming to stop these test then no one would ever think to make them humane, ever give any thought to what these actions hold for us psychologically. So the person that brought this up needs to see it like my Aunt, and now myself. They do not need to stop, but we do need to have rules that protect US from the indirect callousness caused by the harming of a living being. We must walk circumspectly anytime we consider the ending of ANY life. Unfortunately we don't get this upset when talking about ending a human life, just the animals. So for all of you that think abortion bans are bad, remember the callousness that has risen in our culture because of thinking like this..... There are more lives taken today than has ever been in the history of this country. I hear about the murder of someone 2-5 times a week in my city and I can't help but think that if we didn't tell MEN and WOMEN that its ok to have sex and escape the consequences through abortion, we wouldn't have these problems. The thing is it's not just abortion, it just ties in well with the above topic. I know some of you are going to rip this thinking apart, but it's only because you want to keep this in place instead of trying to stop the problem INSIDE YOURSELF. It's not hard to use contraceptives and I'm not talking about rape and incest obviously that is not what I mean. I'm talking about your desire to have sex without consequence, to do what you want without consequence. Killing animals, even in the name of science only helps us to become more callous to the ending of life. We have to be smarter about what we are teaching our children. Right now our society it telling them to have fun and you can just trash the consequence, this can't just be about animals it needs to be about humans as well. FYI, the Georgia law that was passed does not allow for the prosecution of the woman. It is against Georgia state law to charge or prosecute a woman for having an abortion and has been since the late 1800's, this law does not overturn that law. So for all of you that think this makes a woman criminally liable for abortion if they go to another state, you're very wrong.
