This is absurd and I am tired of seeing attacks on regulations which often would be more aptly named "protections." Regulations help provide: safe drinking water, clean air, safe food to eat, protection from discrimination and harassment in the workplace, safe work conditions, accountability for corporations who break the law, harm employees, or use child labor or dangerous practices in their supply chain abroad, etc. etc. etc. Regulations are often the only thing keeping us safe from corporations who are more concerned with profit than the safety and well-being or employees, consumers, other stakeholders, and the community nearby its operating facilities. Regulations are particularly important and essential for protection the poor and minorities who tend to get screwed over more and often do not wield as much political and economic power.
