This is a question apparently. The only reason it has surfaced again is because the word, not the action, has been used as an adjective to describe something. Lynching, the act, is murder. Murder is covered in current punishable offenses. There is no reason to add another law for something already covered. The use of the word lynching should not be prohibited or included as a hate crime primarily because of it history as an action. Our legislators already waste enough time discussing things that are already resolved. I agree that older laws should be reviewed but that doesn’t mean they all need up dating. Allow a word to be used as an adjective.
