Taking hostages is considered terrorism by most people and it feels very much like this country has been taken hostage. I believe it is the policy of this country NOT to give in to terrorists as it promotes further terrorism. Perhaps it is no longer a question of whether the wall is good or bad, but now more a question of do we set precedence for our leaders to hold the country hostage every time someone disagrees with the sitting president. If people think that our gov. has never disagreed as it does now then I would say to them to go back into history, it's always at odds. It's suppose to be. Our government is suppose to be made of different opinions and it's about working through them for the common good. That's the job! When we no longer can give our opinions and we can only vote for what we know the sitting president will ok, we are no longer a democracy. It seems to me we are ever moving toward a dictatorship. This may work in the business world but even there I would argue that the "one way or the highway" management is destructive to business. We need to open government and do what we pay our representatives to do and that is to debate and come to some kind of group decision. Free the country without giving into the terrorists; open our government!
