I feel as an American citizen, I was never really taught about credit in school. I knew I could apply for it when I turned 18, but no one ever really helped me be responsible with it. I would like to see the reform begin in schools. We need to teach future children the importance of credit, how can such an impactful thing not be taught to us as children? Also in turn I would actually like to see a well thought out analysis that isn’t a legal tie up. If Congress is serious about helping us reform our credit, they need to have a plan. Companies need to have a real formula to actually achieve a credit score. Student loans shouldn’t be a huge part of it. Medical debt shouldn’t be included. There are a plethora of issues I would like to see addressed before we try to pass any laws, and with this bill it looks like it won’t get passed anytime soon.
