You could debate the death penalty forever. Two questions from me: 1.) Justice for crime victims (or their families)? How does a death penalty make any difference? It doesn’t undo the crime. Just isn’t a rational rationalization. 2.) How can the risk of incorrect judgement ever justify the death penalty? What if your own family member was unjustly accused of a crime? Still okay with a potential death sentence? In the end, there needs to be a difference between the “bad guys” and the “good guys”. People can’t be allowed to kill people on either side of the law. A better discussion can be had about prison reform. Let’s do that.
