It is my opinion that Congress should not dictate how various branches of the military choose to follow up with desertion and other affairs. If you read in the details of this bill, it indicates the Army is willing to pay this specific soldiers back pay. There is more to the story, that we aren't privy to, that caused this man, in particular, to desert his post. Who is this congressman to think his judgement with only partial facts should supersede where the military's command has ruled? I strongly encourage you to vote no on this bill because it is based on superficial sentimental assessments.?
