To start with, I’m not a big fan of the war on drugs. It seems to me to be creating as many problems as it’s fixing, if not more. That said, to be clear, drug cartels are bad. Really bad. More so because of their practices and business model than their products. But we already have laws on the books to deal with them that already accomplish the majority of what this proposal would do. So what’s the point? What’s really going on here? I wonder. Why is there no effort label the big pharmaceutical companies that have promoted the opioid crisis and profited greatly from it as terrorists organizations? The moral deprivation and the crisis caused within American society are certainly comparable. Only a couple of differences. I’d guess the opioid crisis and the greed of Big Pharma is probably killing more people and destroying more families. I’d also guess drug cartels don’t contribute nearly as much to congressional campaigns as Big Pharma does. Oh, and most of the criminals in Big Pharma probably aren’t Brown People. We don’t need this. Find something better to do with your time and our tax dollars.
