The legal system is a maze for English speaking citizens. Imagine navigating the immigration process under these conditions: you don't speak English, you are without friends and family, you have made a perilous journey, you have been detained in a detention center with hundreds, you are in a new country with new laws, cultures, and understandings that you are completely unaware of. Then imagine being younger than 21 years of age. It is quite literally impossible. Kids are 50% more likely to obtain lawful permanent residence with an attorney than those children that are without an attorney.
