No. How should or could the federal, state, and local governments enforce this? 1) Offer money to students to attend? 2) Take them to juvenile detention with a sentence of two weeks plus they are still to get educational instruction and allowed little to no social interaction? 3) Continue with truant officers and force individuals to school and fine parents? 4) Fine schools or take away funding for not achieving more interest in students. Some of these would prove way too costly. Number 4 would not only break a school financially and cause it to close but faculty and staff would lose jobs but students would not be affected and the goal to get them back in school would not be accomplished and further they fall through the cracks and any fallout and problems would be dealt with on the local level and some areas may not be equipped to do so. Worse case scenario is students end up in jail. No I don’t support this.
