BEFORE YOU VOTE: be careful folks- another GOP wolf in sheep's clothing bill. This isn't designed to involve the public, the sponsor knows the general public isn't going to participate in anything. From the Sponsor's (Rep Collins, R-GO) mouth “Like-minded environmentalists are speeding regulations they know would die in the light of day,” said Collins. “Their collusion is another example of executive overreach that I’m determined to stop.” (From Collins' webpage dougcollins.house.gov). The only people currently suing the EPA are environmental groups who sue when corporations violate regulations and environmental protections. This would open the door to allow the corporations (NOT the American public) to be able to counter. Currently, the EPA and other regulatory agencies are toothless and these lawsuits are the only tool available to force them to enforce. Removing the ability to sue takes away our only current watchdog working in our favor.
