Federal Parks are already paid for by the taxpayer. It's all a matter of appropriation and having people there that can see the value of our national parks. I don't think there's a shortage of money simply because there's already so much. It's just not allocated appropriately due to a huge lump of it going to national defense. Going back to the question of needing more donations...I don't think this matters. People will donate to the national parks and they should. They should be allowed to do as they please with that. Frequency of donations is, once again, up to those same people. The question might be alluding to getting in new donations from private sources. If that's the case then my original point stands.
