I believe in big government as long as the primary focus is on improving the lives of the citizens of this great country. In my opinion our government no longer is interested in its individual citizens. It has become almost completely pro-corporate and only focuses on what is best for corporate earnings. Corporations are not citizens and like our current government they don't always care about the damages down to the public as a whole by their actions. Work to put "we the people" (corporations are not people despite what some claim) back as the main focus of government. To protect citizens and our environment, there needs to be a strong policing and regulatory agency to set national standards. Work to simplify regulations and fix what doesn't work. Government isn't much different than a corporation. Sometimes they both get bogged down in bureaucracy and don't function efficiently and effectively. Greed is the only reason for trying to dismantle this agency. Reducing cost for corporations will only put more money into the hands of a few, while causing harm to the masses. Greed gone unchecked will only lead to collapse of the our economy. Our politicians spend more time campaigning for reelection money than actually doing the job they got voted into office to do.
