There has been a clear issue in federal and state taxation of marijuana, and this legislation not only opens the door for more simplified taxation so that other states may have the same pathway to actually regulate marijuana properly and in an orderly fashion. Many states have seen the difficulties of legalization even as there has been full support, but this would help those new businesses survive also as the tax would increase in 5% increments per year until 25%. Hope it makes it through the House. The government would progressively earn enough profit in taxes, but small marijuana business's could actually survive over a long-term period. The opening of a new shop is very difficult at the beginning and continues with much regulation.
